Brenda earned her Masters of Arts in Teaching from MICA, and holds certifications for art K–12, and social studies. She has been around Waldorf Education from birth as she grew up on the campus of a residential Waldorf School for children with special needs and attended the Kimberton Waldorf School through the 12th grade. Brenda taught for New Orleans Public School, Baltimore City Public schools, has opened and run a fine-dining restaurant, and then joined the staff at The Waldorf School of Baltimore. She began by teaching high school art as well as doing administration. Her career took her towards teaching academics such as the history of architecture and science, after which she became the 7th grade teacher and continued with that class through 8th grade. Brenda has taken multiple courses to deepen her knowledge of the Waldorf curriculum as well as strategies applicable to teaching in the grades.
