We are seeking a highly motivated, results oriented Admissions Director to lead efforts to develop and drive the school’s admissions strategy. The Admissions Director will lead all initiatives to increase the enrollment of qualified new students, enabling Waldorf to meet the challenge of thriving within a highly competitive independent school market.
Major responsibilities include:
- Forming, implementing, and managing the admissions strategy
- Serving as lead ambassador and ‘face of the school’ for prospective families
- Building strong relationships with families from point of inquiry to enrollment
- Developing and managing events to promote the school
- Systematic, efficient, and professional handling of the process from inquiries through enrollment
- Working collaboratively to form and direct teams to help with admissions efforts
The successful candidate will be a creative self-starter and inspiring individual able to work efficiently with minimum supervision. Ideal candidates are able to effectively articulate the values and mission of The Waldorf School of Baltimore. Previous successful experience in independent school admissions is essential.
We are accredited by AIMS and AWSNA. Our striking campus in northern Baltimore City is situated on a wooded hillside adjacent to Cylburn Arboretum. The school reflects the diverse nature of its community, drawing students from urban, suburban and rural areas. We are housed in our own beautiful purpose-built building overlooking the city. We are fortunate to have a large outdoor space where the children run and play, walk in the woods, and work in our school garden. We are a Maryland certified Green School.
We offer salaries based on education and experience. Our benefit package includes medical and dental coverage, tuition remission, LTD, and a 403(b) retirement program.

The Accompanist for Eurythmy (Movement) Class will join an extraordinary school where performing arts are an integral and daily part of every student’s experience. Children's Garden Lead Teacher
The Waldorf School of Baltimore is a Nursery–8th grade school seeking a lead Early Childhood teacher to join our faculty for the 2017-18 school year. Our program includes both nursery and mixed-aged kindergarten programs. We work with our early childhood team and current enrollment to best determine class assignments for teachers. Working out of Anthroposophy and an understanding of the developmental needs and stages in early childhood, our faculty brings warmth, care, and joy into the classroom and creates a healthy environment in which our children are nurtured and grow. Candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, have completed Waldorf Early Childhood Teaching Certificate or are currently enrolled in a Waldorf EC teacher training program and have teaching experience.
