Parent & Child Class August 4-19

Parent & Child Class August 4-19

Parent & Child Class

Parent & Child classes lay the building blocks for elementary school. Science and math are introduced as tools for the exploration of movement and the physical properties of the natural world through play. Reading is rooted in language acquisition and the development of a rich imagination. Writing begins with strengthening the small motor skills. The teacher gently guides the natural play and interaction of the class towards healthy acquisition of these important skills, while the children do the activities at their own pace and in their own style.

Toddlers
For children from walking to age 3.

In this class both teacher and parent (grandparent or caregiver) collaborate on purposeful activities that guide and inspire young children in their play. Children engage in homelike tasks while learning how to be an individual in a group situation. Relevant topics on early childhood such as sleep patterns, nutrition and creating a healthy and harmonious rhythm for your child, are discussed. We will learn songs, stories and make simple craft projects and prepare a wholesome snack together. Learn More about WSB's approach to Parent & Child Classes.

Classes will be facilitated by experienced early childhood teacher, Brooke Redgrave.
