Admissions Program Overview

The Waldorf School of Baltimore's provides joyful and inspiring programs for Pre-K 2's-4's, Kindergarten, Forest Kindergarten and Grades 1-8. begin in early childhood and continue through the 8th grade. View an inspiring video about our school.

Teacher to Student Ratios:
Preschool Programs – 1:6
Kindergarten – 1:8.5
Grades 1 through 8 – 1:7

Children’s Garden (Preschool and Kindergartens)

All classes begin at 8:30 a.m. Half day classes are dismissed at 12 noon. Full day classes are dismissed at 3:00 p.m. Early birds can arrive at 7:30 a.m. Aftercare is available for full day children until 6pm for an additional fee.

The Preschool program is designed for children coming to school for the first time; it's the perfect step from home to school. This program is a five day program with a three-day option available for children 2 1/2 years to 3 1/2 years old. Children can enroll for three or five full days (8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) or three or five half days (8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon)

Kindergarten and Forest Kindergarten

The Kindergarten Program is a five day class for children ages 4 1/2 to 6 years old. Our younger children, ages 4 1/2 to 5 years old, can attend for five full days or five mornings. Our 5 to 6 year olds attend the five full days program designed to prepare them for first grade.

Lower and Middle Schools

Classes begin at 8:15 a.m. although students are encouraged to be in the classroom at 8 a.m. Students can arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. and are supervised by a teacher in our free Early Birds program. Dismissal is at 3:20 p.m. for the lower and middle schools. After-school care is available till 6 p.m. for an additional fee.

Aftercare

The Aftercare Program is designed for students in the Children's Garden (starting at 3 years old) through 8th grade; between school dismissal and 6:00 p.m. Register for Aftercare online.For more information visit Aftercare.
