Lisa was born in London but has lived in the United States since 1974. She moved to Baltimore in 1992 and fell in love with the city. For 22 years she worked at The Children’s Bookstore in Roland Park, using her expertise and her love for children’s literature to help children find just the right books.

Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Towson University. She has taught preschool in Virginia and worked with children with severe emotional challenges at schools in Baltimore city and county.

She has lived in the same house in Roland Park since moving to Baltimore. In this house, she and her husband have raised six children and become the happy grandparents to five grandchildren. They also have a dog, Earnest, and three cats, Machka, Gigi, and Scout. Lisa loves to read and to work in her garden. Most of all, she loves to spend time with her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
