Self Portrait Project — Brazah
My self-portrait project was getting a Helicopter model Lego kit and building it from scratch. I have always had a little interest in flying things, but I chose this project because it was recommended to me by my teacher, Ms. Emmet. I also used to have Legos and getting a Lego kit and putting it together was always one of my favorite things to do. It took me a couple hours over a couple of days to complete this project. Surprisingly, I enjoyed putting it all together and learning what kind of parts it takes to build The Helicopter. I also enjoyed being done and seeing the finished product. I decided on choosing this helicopter Lego kit because it looked really cool. I surfed the web over a couple of days and found various kits of different helicopters. The one I chose is my favorite out of the models I saw on the internet. My goal of choosing this project and its visual component was to learn more about helicopters, like all the parts and how they come to function. My goal was completed, and I think I have a fair amount of knowledge about flying vehicles now. Some of my challenges were putting the propellers on the helicopter, it took me a while to get it on for some reason. But other than that, everything went smoothly, and I got it done faster than I expected to. The helicopter model is a rescue helicopter that has various features such as a hook to transport hospital patients. They can be loaded with water to fight large fires and can be used to move supplies to ships. This model kit has around 400 pieces and the finished product weighs around 1 to 2 pounds. I enjoyed this project because I was able to gain some type of knowledge from it and it was fairly enjoyable.
