For ten years Gretchen taught horseback riding to a diverse range of students. She was the Associate Director of the Equestrian Program at Goucher College then went on to be the Head Riding Instructor for a therapeutic riding program. Due to her love of learning and dedication to her students, Gretchen went back to school and earned her Masters in Elementary and Special Education at the Notre Dame of Maryland University. She went on to be a Special Educator for Baltimore County Public Schools working primarily with students from first – third grade. Gretchen put her teaching career on pause while she raised her daughter. She is especially excited to be back in the classroom working with the Waldorf pedagogy. Gretchen loves reading, cooking, and being outdoors. She continues to set time for horseback riding, hiking, and improving her knitting skills.
