Lea Gurreri, a native of Baltimore, has seamlessly woven her educational journey with Waldorf influences. Beginning her academic life at the Waldorf School of Baltimore as a young child, Lea later pursued her studies at Drexel University, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science with a focus on Services for Children and Youth.
Her teaching internships at Bache-Martin Elementary/Middle School and the Franklin Learning Center in Philadelphia laid the foundation for her career. Returning to Baltimore, Lea became a media specialist and teacher at the Baltimore Design School, where her expertise in arts integration flourished among grades 6-12.
Lea's commitment to holistic education extends to her continuous learning journey, having taken courses through the Sunbridge Institute and furthering her education through the Center for Anthroposophy. Beyond the classroom, Lea finds joy in adventures with her husband and two children, nurturing her garden, and embracing the thrill of learning new things. Lea Gurreri is not just an educator; she is a lifelong learner, explorer, and advocate for holistic teaching.
