Beth joins the Waldorf School of Baltimore as assistant teacher for Mrs. Beach in the Butterfly Classroom. Beth has a Master’s in Teaching in Early Childhood Education from Towson University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Franklin Pierce College.  She is currently enrolled in Building Bridges: Waldorf Teacher Training program through Antioch University.

Beth began her career helping children and adolescents in crisis at Sheppard Pratt Hospital develop safe coping skills. As her desire to travel beckoned her, she took time off from the hospital and pursuing an art therapy degree to travel. While teaching English at a primary school in Thailand, Beth discovered her love for teaching. After teaching in Bangkok and backpacking through Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Nepal, Beth began a thirteen year career in public school education as a permanent substitute, teaching intern, first grade teacher and Kindergarten teacher. Once her daughter, Avila, was born, Beth devoted her time to nurturing her through a warm and loving early childhood filled with creativity, wonderment and an appreciation for nature and personal connections. Also during this time, Beth led Farm Friends story time at the Baltimore County Agriculture Center, co-created a summertime outdoor parent-child group called Waterhole Wednesdays, and attended WSB parent-child classes.  Today Beth is honored to be both a parent and a staff member at the Waldorf School of Baltimore.
