Tom Livingston is a (semi-retired) public media leader and consultant with more than four decades of success at the local and national level, who spent the first half of his career starting and managing public radio stations. His company, Livingston Associates, provided executive search and consulting services to more than 200 public media clients including local stations, National Public Radio, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, with services including executive search, strategy, Interim/ED services, facilitation and professional coaching.
Tom has extensive experience in working with boards, including board development, organizing and facilitating board retreats, serving, serving on and leading boards. Among Livingston’s board service is Board of Directors of National Public Radio, with several leadership positions including Vice Chair. He also chaired the Public Media Business Association and is recent past chair and serves on the the board of the National program BirdNote. Livingston is currently a member of the board of the Peale in Baltimore.
Livingston lives in the Keswick neighborhood of Baltimore with his wife Katherine.
