Sarah Sachs was born and raised in Roanoke, VA, moved to Maryland to attend St. Mary’s College of Maryland and received her BA in Studio Art in 2006. In 2008 she received her Master of Art in Digital Art followed by a Master of Fine Art in Photography and Digital Imaging in 2009, both from Maryland Institute College of Art. She has previously taught at Gilman School, Garrison Forest School, Maryland Institute College of Art as well as Anne Arundel Community College and Howard Community College. She is committed to making time for her own personal fine art practices, which include basket weaving, stone carving, woodworking, and jewelry making.
