This year’s Autumn Festival will be celebrated the morning of Wednesday, October 12th.
The Children's Garden Autumn Festival marks the end of the growing season and is a celebration of the bounty of the harvest. This is the time of year when human beings in the Northern hemisphere must find strength and courage to enter the months of cold and darkness, bearing within themselves the light and warmth that were in the outer world of nature in summertime. During this season the children are nourished with tales of the seasonal changes and of strength and courage.
The Autumn Festival includes a special woods walk where students may experience the beauty and wonder of nature that is displayed throughout with flowers, cornstalks, gourds, pumpkins, tree branches, and more. As part of the festival each child receives a cape of courage, and other natural treasures.
