Students in Grades 1 –5 will have a simple Halloween parade on Thursday, October 31 around 8:30am!
We will parade through the grounds, up to the rainbow yard, then onto the pad, in front of Parkview, and across the plaza. Classes will then present a little something seasonal for the parents. Please join us on the plaza for the parade and presentations at 8:30 am!
In case of inclement weather, the students will parade through the hallways and gather in Tamarind Hall. If you are staying, please park your vehicle after drop off and enjoy warm beverages and warm conversation on the Plaza, provided by the Festivals Committee.
Costume Requirements:
- Students should come dressed in their costumes and bring a change a clothes. Students will be changing into their regular clothes after the parade; we ask that they come prepared to make the clothing change independently in their classrooms.
- Students should wear simple, preferably homemade costumes that reflect curricular themes. For example: take inspiration from First Grade Fairy Tales; Second Grade Fables, Animal Stories, Exemplary People; Third Grade Hebrew Stories, Farming, Gardening, Building; Fourth Grade Norse Mythology, Zoology, Maryland Geography; Fifth Grade Botany, North American Geography, Ancient India, Greece, Persia, etc.
- Please note: make-up, masks, weapons, media characters, and blood/gore are not allowed
